After a brief little break, the Country of the Week is back, and this time it is a country in the Middle East, Turkey. Again, for those of you who are geographically challenged, Turkey is on the Mediterranean Sea to the east (right) of Italy (the boot) and Greece. And in talking to some of the people I know over there, I found out some interesting things about the country and how we can pray for them. Check it out!
About Turkey: Did you know?
How can we pray?
The wicked blizzard put a halt on these the first time around, but the Warehouse Nights are
back May 23rd and 24th!The girls are up on Friday night, from 7-9pm, and will be talking about “What’s hot?” There will be a fashion show and snacks and some thoughts from the female leaders, so you don’t want to miss it. No guys allowed!
The guys are up on Saturday night, also from 7-9pm, for May Man-ness. Come show us your skills in Guitar Hero, floor hockey, and eating (yes, we will be doing the Gutter Sundae. Don’t know what that is? Come check it out!). We’ll also have some time for a guys-only Q&A. No girls allowed!
Just a quick reminder that Club JV is on the road tonight at the church for the pastor’s conference. The evening session is from 7-9pm, and like we talked about at U-turn, we’ll try to sit together. So, if you’re coming, come find us on the left side (as you’re facing the front) of the auditorium. Hope to see you there!
